Scott…quality for life.

    See Your Way Clear

with the AV-3000 Facepiece

This sleek, low-profile facepiece provides better downward and peripheral vision to improve safety and job performance.   With the AV-3000 six-point quad-adjustment head harness and optional dual adjustment spectacle kit, donning and doffing is quick and easy.

No 21st-century facepiece is complete without state-of-art communications.  The AV-3000 features large, dual voicemitters for clearer communications, and a dual mounting bracket that allows for communication interface on either side of the facepiece.

The AV-3000 Is Ready When You Are

The air-saver switch, angled for easy operation with a gloved hand, stops the free flow of air during donning and doffing. The user places the SCBA in stand-by mode with an activated cylinder. That means the user can be suited up a

Lightweight and Comfortable

Firefighting is intense, physically demanding work. That's why Scott offers a lightweight SCBA package promoting comfort and user friendly convenience. It's an idea that was born, and continues to be refined, by responding to the needs of Scott users.

Freedom of Movement and Reduced Fatigue

Marked by its streamlined backframe, the Air-Pak 75 SCBA provides a comfortable fit to support users performing physically demanding work assignments. Whether the SCBA user is outfitted in turnout gear or industrial protective clothing, the backframe promotes a lower profile, greater freedom of movement and reduces fatigue.   The one-piece backframe is constructed of a lightweight, time-tested, durable aluminum alloy.  It follows the back's contour and places the bulk of the SCBA's weight on the hips, where padded wrap-around wings provide comfortable support. Wide-bodied pads further distribute weight along the shoulders and hips. Harness-mounted, retro-reflective front patches enhance nighttime visibility of the user.

Faster, Easier Cylinder Changes

An enhanced latching system with durable para-aramid fabric band allow for quick and efficient cylinder changes. Simple adjustment of a cam-over center slide permits the accommodation of 30-, 45- or 60- minute duration cylinders.

nd ready for action without spending cylinder air.

HUD Integrated Electronics

A Heads-Up Display (HUD) keeps you informed about your airstatus. The display conveniently mounts to the EZ-Flo Regulator thereby minimizing the cost associated with issuing heads-up displays with personal facepieces. Unlike many displays by other manufacturers, the Scott HUD is hard-wired and engineered to ensure accurate readings. An unobstructed  view through the facepiece, provides a clear LED readout of full, three-quarter, half and one-quarter bottle. The HUD also serves as a redundant low air alarm.

Advanced Safety Features

Firefighters should never go it alone, so, Scott has designed on-board back-up emergency systems. Scott’s redundant safeguards promote an added margin of user safety.  In addition to the standard safety features of the Air-Pak SCBA’s, Scott has developed a Rapid Intervention Crew/Universal Air Connection (RIC/UAC). Strategically located, and with relief valve and dust cover, the RIC/UAC allows air to be supplied to a down or trapped firefighter by either a Scott RIT-Pak™ II or another compressed air source. Unique to both the Air-Pak NxG7 SCBA and the Air-Pak 75 SCBA is an optional, integrated Pak-Tracker™Firefighter Locator System for added safety. A stand-alone (non-SCBA integrated) Pak-Tracker System is also available.

End of Service Indicators

Dual low air alarm package provides the ultimate in firefighter safety. This innovative system provides exceptional security with two end-of-service-indicators. The first component of Scott’s redundant low air alarm system is the Vibralert® end of-service-indicator. Vibralert’s gentle vibration of the facepiece minimizes the chance the user’s alarm will go unnoticed or be confused with another SCBA. The second component of Scott’s redundant low air alarm system is the Visualert™ heads-up display.

Integrated Pass

Representing a dramatic breakthrough in personal protection, Pak-Alert® optional integrated PASS device is a powerful safety tool offering redundant audible and visual alarms. Designed to assist in locating incapacitated or trapped SCBA users, the Pak-Alert device is the first distress alarm featuring automatic activation as soon as the cylinder valve is opened.

Cylinder Options

The Air-Pak 75 SCBA is available in 2216, 3000, and 4500 psi models while the Air-Pak NxG7SCBA is available in 2216 or 4500 psi models. Choose from the latest in lightweight composite cylinder materials including carbon fiber, the lightest cylinder available, and aluminum. Cylinders are available in 30-, 45- or 60-minute rated durations. Customized cylinders are available with department logo and/or luminescent cylinder band.

CBRN Approved

This new generation of Scott Air-Pak SCBA’s are CBRN approved. So, now, no matter what the threat...chemical, biological, radiological or nuclear...the Scott Air-Pak SCBA, with the industry leading features and operation that you’ve come to rely on now also offer maximum protection against weapons of mass destruction.

Scott Universal (RIC/UAC) fitting.  Conveniently located for (RIT), "Rapid Intervention Team" to assist down firefighters running low on air.   Fill personal SCBA Cylinder from a RIT-Pak or compressed air source without removing the cylinder from the Air Pak or disrupting air flow to the downed fire fighter.
Optional Integrated Pak-Tracker, mounted to integrated PASS Alarm, automatically activates when Air-Pak is charged.  Pak-Tracker is also available as a stand alone module for use with or without a Pak.

Scott’s Unique Pressure Reducer

Unlike all other SCBA, Scott actually provides two pressure reducers in one. Situated in a compact housing, the pressure reducers are interconnected through an automatic transfer valve. A reduction in primary pressure, for whatever reason, would trigger an automatic transfer to the secondary circuit. This could occur, for example, by dirt accidentally entering the air circuit during a cylinder change. The user would be alerted to the transfer by the Vibralert® alarm. This would enable the user to focus attention on safely exiting the hazardous area. At the same time, an uninterrupted supply of air would be provided through the secondary circuit. Back-up safety features include a dual path pressure reducer that ensures a constant flow of air and a simplified central battery management system consisting of six standard “AA” batteries located in the housing.

The control console contains a constant-on edge lit light for the pressure gauge that automatically comes on when the cylinder valve is opened. It also incorporates a photo sensing diode which automatically dims and brightens the HUD (Heads-Up-Display) as environmental conditions change.

Quick Take-up and Quick Release

Parachute-style or optional alligator clip harness fasteners permit smooth, efficient adjustment. While securely retaining the shoulder straps, the fasteners minimize harness wear and tear, even with frequent use. Quick doffing is assured because the over-sized fasteners are easily manipulated with gloved hands. A one-finger release disengages the waist belt buckle.
