The all cast iron design is built tough to endure the strains of high pressure air under emergency service.
With oversized cast iron cooling fins, bearings and connecting rods this pump runs cool and quiet. The balanced crank shaft insures long life and low vibration.
This system develops the most CFM at the lowest compressor RPM. In reciprocating air compressor designs, slow speed is desirable because it lasts longer and is quieter. That's very important when your air compressor is situated on the apparatus floor or located in smaller firehouses.
