Scott Health and Safety recommends respirators be
disinfected after each use by following the "Cleaning and
Disinfecting Instructions" in the "Operation and Maintenance
Manual" provided with your respiratory equipment using one of
the following solutions:
- 70% Isopropyl Alcohol
- One teaspoon tincture of iodine per gallon of water
- 3% Hydrogen Peroxide
To protect the health of your members and employees,
respirators and facepiece mounted regulators must be cleaned
and disinfected after each use. This is particularly
important when respirators are shared between users.
Coastal Fire Systems offers premixed sprays, individual
towellettes and kit type cleaning solutions for your
respirator health and safety.
